Compressed Air Auditor
The Compressed Air Auditor training course focuses in on identifying, measuring, understanding and reporting energy reduction opportunities within compressed air systems. The auditor course expands on the Advanced Compressed Air Training and Specialist Compressed Air Training courses.
The course covers:
- How to conduct an energy audit of compressed air systems
- Typical energy reduction opportunities and how to identify them
- How to estimate detailed operating costs
- Understanding relevant standards for the particular country or industry (eg ASME EA-4, ISO11011, CSA C837, ISO8573)
- Understanding different types of compressors and operation modes
- Identifying and understanding compressed air purity requirements
- Training on tools used to audit compressed air systems
As part of the training, students will conduct an audit on their own compressed air system. This includes calculating energy use and costs and identifying energy reduction opportunities.
Who should attend the Compressed Air Auditor course?
This course is designed for those who wish to perform an audit on their own system or a customer’s system, including:
- Maintenance and engineering staff
- Sustainability or environmental managers
- Consultants
Pre-requisites
Students must have completed the Advanced Compressed Air Training course and at least 3 of the Specialist Compressed Air Training courses to be eligible for the auditor course.
